The book is 93,000 words long, so I wrote, on average, 2,447 words a day. This speed floors people, so I thought it might be useful to share some productivity hacks I discovered while I was writing.

Over the course of a year, writing the first draft of a book is shockingly attainable. At 1,500 words a week—a few hours’ work—you can have a 75,000-word draft written in 50 weeks.
